Join Our Team: Seasonal Opportunities

When we are at local forestry events, we are sometimes asked "You ever need any help?". Short answer: Always! Simple truth of the matter is, many people love forests and love working in them but are not foresters by trade. Is this you? Want to take it to the next level?

We typically have our busiest time of year for field work starting in late March with tree planting (mechanical using a tractor). For tree planting season we need help with picking up trees and delivering them to fields, driving the tractor and packing trees into planter boxes. The worst part of the job is probably the weather and the long days, early Indiana spring can be unforgiving. Tree planting ends by June (hopefully) and we transition to invasive control work until October. Most of our invasive control is focused on spraying plants on foot using hoses, plant identification is the most difficult part. We can get you trained in invasive plant identification and pesticide application if you have an interest. If there is a part of our job that doesn't necessarily require a forester, it's these areas of work and we could definitely use help every year. If this sounds like something you'd like to try, give us a call!
